Authorship Dispute Policy
CRID Book Publishing – Authorship Dispute Policy
CRID Book Publishing
CRID Book Publishing is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical publishing practices. Authorship disputes are taken seriously and handled with fairness, transparency, and due diligence.
1. Definition of Authorship
Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made a substantial intellectual contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research or manuscript. All listed authors must approve the final version and agree to its submission for publication.
2. Before Submission
The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all listed authors have agreed on the order of authorship and consented to submission.
Any contributorship or funding acknowledgments must be transparently declared in the manuscript.
3. Disputes After Submission or Publication
If a dispute arises regarding authorship (e.g., inclusion, exclusion, or order of authors), CRID will not arbitrate the matter directly but will pause the review or publication process until the issue is resolved among the parties.
In the event of a formal complaint, CRID may request:
Written statements from all parties involved
Institutional or departmental verification or investigation
If no agreement can be reached, CRID reserves the right to withdraw the manuscript from consideration or retract the published work until the matter is resolved.
4. Corrections Post-Publication
Requests for authorship changes post-publication must be accompanied by:
A signed statement from all original and proposed authors
An explanation of the reason for the change
In accordance with COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines, CRID may issue a correction notice or erratum to reflect the change.
5. Ethical Responsibility
Authors are encouraged to settle authorship agreements before submission and to maintain transparent communication throughout the research and publishing process. Misrepresentation of authorship is a serious ethical violation and may lead to rejection, retraction, or future submission restrictions.
