Peer Review Policy
CRID Book Publishing – Peer Review Policy
At CRID Book Publishing, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic quality, transparency, and integrity. Peer review is a cornerstone of our publishing process and helps ensure the scholarly value and credibility of all published works.
1. Purpose of Peer Review
Peer review evaluates a manuscript’s originality, relevance, methodological soundness, clarity, and contribution to the field. It serves to:
Improve the quality of the manuscript
Provide constructive feedback to authors
Ensure scholarly standards are met
2. Type of Peer Review
We primarily use a single-blind peer review process, where:
Reviewers know the identity of the authors
Authors do not know the identity of the reviewers
(In some cases, we may employ a double-blind or open review model, depending on the subject and nature of the manuscript.)
3. Reviewer Selection
Reviewers are selected based on their:
Subject-matter expertise
Academic credentials
Prior experience in reviewing or publishing in related areas
Reviewers must declare any conflict of interest and maintain strict confidentiality.
4. Review Criteria
Reviewers assess manuscripts based on:
Originality and significance of the content
Theoretical and methodological rigor
Clarity of structure and argument
Appropriateness of references and citations
Language quality and readability
5. Review Timeline
We aim to complete the review process within 4 to 6 weeks of submission. Authors will be kept informed of the status at every major stage.
6. Review Outcomes
Each manuscript may receive one of the following recommendations:
Accept without revisions
Accept with minor revisions
Revise and resubmit (major revisions required)
Reject
Authors will receive constructive comments and may be invited to resubmit revised versions.
7. Revision and Resubmission
If revisions are requested, authors must:
Submit a revised manuscript within the given timeframe
Provide a response letter detailing how reviewer comments were addressed
Revised manuscripts may be re-evaluated by the original reviewers or new experts, if necessary.
8. Confidentiality and Ethics
All manuscripts under review are treated as confidential documents. Reviewers must not share, discuss, or use any part of the manuscript for personal advantage.
9. Reviewer Recognition
We value our reviewers’ contributions and may:
Issue formal certificates upon request
Acknowledge anonymous contributions in annual reports or websites (if permitted)
