Editorial Process
Journal of Research Innovation and Development (JRID)
Committed to Transparency, Rigor, and Integrity in Scholarly Publishing
The editorial process at JRID is designed to ensure the publication of high-quality, original, and impactful research across multidisciplinary domains. Our process adheres to international ethical publishing standards, including the guidelines of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics).
1. Manuscript Submission
Authors must submit their manuscripts via email to editor.publication@cridglobal.org or through the official journal portal (if applicable). Submissions must follow the Instructions for Authors regarding formatting, referencing, and ethical declarations (e.g., conflict of interest, funding disclosure).
2. Initial Screening (Pre-Review Check)
The editorial office conducts a preliminary check within 5–7 days of submission to verify:
Scope alignment with JRID
Compliance with formatting guidelines
Originality (via plagiarism detection software)
Completeness of author information and declarations
Manuscripts that fail to meet basic requirements may be returned for revision or desk-rejected.
3. Assignment to Handling Editor
Once a manuscript passes the initial check, it is assigned to a Subject Expert Editor (Associate Editor or Section Editor), who conducts a preliminary evaluation and selects suitable peer reviewers based on expertise, experience, and availability.
4. Double-Blind Peer Review
JRID follows a double-blind peer review process to ensure impartiality. Both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process.
Each manuscript is typically reviewed by 2–3 independent experts.
Reviewers are asked to evaluate the manuscript based on:
Originality
Methodological soundness
Significance and relevance
Clarity of presentation
Ethical compliance
Reviewers provide a recommendation: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject.
The review process usually takes 4–6 weeks, depending on reviewer response times.
5. Author Revisions
Authors are given 7–21 days to address reviewers’ comments. Revised manuscripts should be submitted with a response letter detailing changes and justifications.
6. Editorial Decision
Based on reviewers’ feedback and revisions, the editor makes a final decision:
Accept
Minor or Major Revision (further round of review may occur)
Reject
Authors are notified via email along with reviewer comments and editorial feedback.
7. Final Checks and Proofing
Accepted manuscripts undergo:
Final formatting and copyediting
Proof generation sent to authors for approval
DOI assignment and metadata preparation
Final author approval of proofs
8. Online Publication
The final version of the article is published online in the current issue of JRID and made freely accessible to all readers under an open access license.
Articles are assigned a DOI via CrossRef
Indexed and archived in applicable repositories and databases
Promoted through CRID and journal social channels
9. Post-Publication Updates
All manuscript materials are treated as confidential.
Reviewers and editors must disclose any conflict of interest.
CRID Publishing complies with COPE, DOAJ, and other best practices in editorial ethics and transparency.
