Open Access Policy

Free and Unrestricted Access to Knowledge for a Sustainable Future

CRID Publishing is committed to the Open Access (OA) movement, promoting the free, immediate, and universal availability of scholarly research. Our flagship journal, the Journal of Research Innovation and Development (JRID), follows a Gold Open Access model, ensuring that all published content is freely accessible to readers worldwide without subscription or paywall barriers.

Our Commitment to Open Access

We believe that open access contributes significantly to:

  • Accelerated dissemination of knowledge

  • Greater visibility and citation of research

  • Equitable access for scholars and institutions in developing regions

  • Stronger connections between research, policy, and practice

  • Alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

All articles published by JRID are freely available immediately upon publication and permanently accessible on our website under the terms of a Creative Commons license (typically CC BY 4.0), allowing for reuse with appropriate attribution.

Author Rights and Licensing

Authors publishing with JRID retain full copyright of their work. By submitting and publishing under our open access policy:

  • Authors grant CRID Publishing the right to publish and disseminate the work online.

  • Authors agree to license their content under a Creative Commons Attribution License, which allows others to share, adapt, and reuse the work, provided proper credit is given.

  • No permission is required for educational or non-commercial reuse, provided attribution is included.

Article Processing Charges (APCs)

To support the sustainability of our open access model, CRID charges a modest APC only after a manuscript is accepted following peer review. We offer:

  • $50 USD for students (from any country)

  • $100 USD for professionals

Authors from World Bank-classified Low and Lower-Middle Income Countries may request a waiver or discount upon submission. For the current country classification, visit:

Archiving and Indexing

To ensure long-term accessibility and discoverability, all published articles are:

  • Indexed with Crossref (DOI assigned)

  • Archived in PKP PN, Google Scholar, and other repositories

  • Stored in institutional and subject-specific repositories upon author request

We are actively pursuing inclusion in DOAJ, BASE, and other recognized directories and databases.

No Subscription or Access Barriers

Readers are not charged for viewing or downloading content. All materials — including articles, editorials, data sets, and supplementary files — are available for free under open access.

There are:

  • ❌ No subscription fees

  • ❌ No access delays

  • ❌ No DRM restrictions

Our open access policy fosters a barrier-free research environment, advancing the principles of transparency, inclusion, and scholarly collaboration.
