Promoting Integrity, Transparency, and Ethical Conduct in Academic Publishing
The Journal of Research Innovation and Development (JRID) is committed to upholding the highest standards of ethics in research and scholarly publishing. We follow the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), ICMJE, and other international best practices to foster ethical behavior from all parties involved in the publication process—authors, reviewers, editors, and publishers.
1. Authorship and Contributions
Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study.
All authors must approve the final version of the manuscript and agree to its submission.
Ghostwriting, guest authorship, and honorary authorship are strictly prohibited.
Authors must clearly state each author’s contribution using the CRediT taxonomy (if applicable).
2. Originality and Plagiarism
Authors must ensure that their submitted work is entirely original.
Proper citation must be given for any work or words of others used.
All manuscripts are checked using plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin, iThenticate).
Plagiarism in any form (including self-plagiarism) is grounds for immediate rejection or retraction.
3. Data Integrity and Reproducibility
Authors must present accurate and verifiable data.
Fabrication, falsification, or selective reporting of data is unethical and unacceptable.
Datasets used in the study should be available for verification upon request or deposited in public repositories, where possible.
4. Ethical Approval and Consent
Studies involving human participants, animals, or sensitive data must include a statement of ethical approval from an appropriate institutional review board or ethics committee.
For studies involving humans:
Informed consent must be obtained and documented.
Confidentiality and privacy must be strictly maintained.
5. Conflict of Interest Disclosure
All authors, editors, and reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest, financial or otherwise, that might bias their work or judgment.
A conflict of interest statement should be included in all published articles.
6. Responsible Research Conduct
Researchers must adhere to disciplinary codes of conduct and institutional policies.
Scientific misconduct, including:
Duplicate submission,
Redundant publication,
Unethical experimentation,
Data manipulation,
will be investigated following COPE procedures.
7. Peer Review Ethics
JRID follows a double-blind peer review process to ensure fairness and anonymity.
Reviewers must:
Maintain confidentiality.
Declare conflicts of interest.
Provide objective, constructive feedback.
Avoid using content from manuscripts under review for personal gain.
8. Post-Publication Revisions and Retractions
JRID is committed to correcting the academic record.
Corrections (errata, corrigenda), expressions of concern, or retractions will be issued when:
Serious errors or ethical breaches are discovered.
Data or findings are proven to be unreliable.
Such cases will follow COPE’s Retraction Guidelines.
9. Open Access and Licensing
All articles are published under an open access license (e.g., CC BY).
Authors retain copyright and grant JRID the right to distribute and archive the work.
10. Publisher Responsibility
CRID Publishing supports editors in ethical decision-making and ensures transparency in editorial workflows.
We maintain a permanent archive of all published content and support efforts to promote publication integrity.
